Parents and Friends Association

The Investigator College Parents & Friends Association is an unincorporated body, which elects a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, alongside a small committee, which are responsible for overseeing the running of the association.

The Committee makes decisions, and draws on the assistance, skills and talents of volunteers from across our College Community, including a designated Parent Representative from each class or Year Level at Investigator.

The P&F Committee usually meets fortnightly, alternating between face-to-face and online meeting formats, with any member of our current Parent/Caregiver community eligible to serve as an Elected Officer, Committee Member, Class Representative — or simply as a volunteer who may be willing to give their time or skills to assist.

Each school year, our Parents and Friends Association seeks volunteers from each class to act as Parent Representatives.

Working together with elected committee members, Parent Representatives ensure that contact is made regularly with all parents so that all families feel included in activities both in and outside of School.

Parent Representatives play a key role in assisting both the Parents and Friends Association, and the College as a whole to communicate with other families, helping to spread the word about upcoming events, promote fundraising opportunities, and sourcing volunteers where needed.

• Connecting with other Parents/Caregivers
• Helping to plan and organise events
• Playing an active role in fundraising and raising money which will be invested back into your child’s education
• Providing advice and guidance to our Principal and School Leaders as they make decisions about the College and its operation, both now and into the future.

All current Parents and Caregivers are invited to join our Parents and Friends Association.
